Tutorial 1: Constant offset between picture and sound

2. Creating a new project

Loading the source files

Use the menu commands File | Open video file ... und File | Open audio file ... to load

  • the file NAGEL.AVI into the video track of AV Adjust as well as
  • the file STEP01.WAV into the audio track.

The double track is not required here and can remain empty.

Now the user interface looks as follows:

Shell

In the upper fields (the source file area) the names of the just loaded files are indicated. Under it you see the first picture of the video NAGEL.AVI.

Creating a project file

It's no mistake to save your project already now for the first time. Thereby a project file is created which you can update later at any time simply by pressing the function key F2.

Choose the menu command File | Save project (or press F2). A dialog window appears which asks for a file name for the new project file.

Because this is the first project of the tutorial 01, we want to name the file tut01-1. Type in this name, then click on the Save button:

Dialog "Save project"

Now the project file exists on your hard disk. That the storage was successful is shown by the facts that

  • Title line in the title bar now the name of the project is indicated, as well as
  • Status line in the prelast field of the status line the entry "Changed" has disappeared, what signifies that the project state stored on the disk is the same as in the program. In addition, the status line in the last field indicates the entire name of the project file.

With it, the preliminary work is done, and we can turn to the correction of the synchronous run.
