ApproachWe already betrayed that we have here the easiest case of picture/sound divergences: a constant, i.e. over the whole run length unchanging time offset. Thus, in this project is to be done no more than to move the soundtrack in all there, where it should be. This can be done most simply using a single Spline marker. What is a Spline marker?By means of a Spline marker (we explain in the third tutorial project why it is called so) you directly specify a desired picture/sound offset at the current position. If you use only one single such marker, the shift value defined here applies to the entire sound track. Therefore, in this case even the position of the marker is not important, so that you can work there where it is most pleasant for you. Defining the markerYou define Spline points preferably at such positions, where the displacement between picture and sound is noticeable clearly. A favorable moment is here when the hammer hits for the first time on the nail. Search this position in the video. You should find the frame no. 61. The number of the current frame is indicated by the first field of the status line: Above the preview controls, you see the following four buttons. These buttons are used to insert a new marker of the indicated kind at the current position: Click on the button. As the result, in the marker list above appears an entry "Spl", and instead of the button just pressed you see now the settings of the new marker:The marker list is the central element of each AV Adjust project. Here you have not only the survey of all existing markers, but can also select them directly. This is important because the settings of a marker can be edited only if the marker is at the current position. Try it: As soon as you change the current position by the sliding control, you here see again the four buttons, which permit to define further markers. In order to return now to the Spline marker and to indicate its settings, simply click on it in the marker list. With it you have defined your first marker. However it still has no effect. This is because in the marker settings must be specified yet, how the marker should modify the offset between picture and sound. This is called parameterizing of the marker. By the way: When have you saved your project for the last time? Once more can avoid from a lot of trouble... ;-) |
