Beginning a new project

At first, prepare AV Adjust for a new project by choosing the menu option File | New project.

Load then by means of the menu commands File | Open video file ... and File | Open audio file ...

• the file NAGEL.AVI into the video track of AV Adjust as well as
• the file STEP02.WAV into the audio track.

Classification of the present errors

See the video in a preview. Choose for this in the combo box in the preview control a time window of ± 10 seconds, then press the button with the green arrow:

The video begins at first in sync, but after the second hammer blow, the blows suddenly are heard earlier than seen. In all probability, a piece of sound is missing there, so that it "jumps forward" and therefore from here is played too early.

Using AV Adjust, the sound track is to be cut at this point, and the following part is to be moved to the right position. In addition, it is foreseeable that the cut originates a "gap" in the sound which is to be filled as unobtrusively as possible.
